All of us are involved in various activities while we are studying at Greystone College. For example, some of us are working; others are involved in volunteer activities; and most of us spend time with friends or family. For that reason it is necessary all for all of us to learn to optimize our time. Luckily, I have a few tips to help you maximize your time.
Create an Activity Log
First of all, you can create an “activity log” which is a schedule where you can put your activities in the order you need to achieve them. An activity log is like an informal agenda where you can record all the activities that usually happen at the same time every day during your week.
Spend Less Time on Social Media
Another piece of advice to to help you optimize your time is to spend less time on social media. You can easily reduce your social media time by just changing the configuration of your devices; or you can adjust your settings on social networks. For example Facebook has an option that allows you to limit the time that you use your account.
Wake Up Early & Exercise
Another good idea is to wake up early in order to seize the day, and do exercise before you start day. Exercising is very helpful because it can give you more energy and make you feel healthier.
Finally, the most important piece of advice for many of us is to stop procrastinating. This is a big word but it basically just means “no postponement” or “no delay” in completing your activities or tasks. For example, if you know that you need to take care of a bureaucratic task, you should start early and attend to it as soon as possible. To help you stay on track, you could set an alarm in your smartphone with the deadlines of all your boring bureaucratic tasks.
Remember, every morning you have two choices: you can continue to live your dreams while you sleep, or you can wake up and achieve them. Following these tips should help you to prioritize what needs to be done. Do not put off tomorrow what you can achieve today, and you will find success both within and outside of Greystone. Carpe Diem.
